I needed to keep my tradition of 1 word post titles, and I wanted to say something about catching up/the fact that I haven't blogged in a century, so I couldn't just put "catch".
That would be silly.
And I couldn't just put "up".
That would be silly.
So my cleverness jumped out of my brain and into the keypad and came up with "ketchup", appropriately capturing the idea and fulfilling the one word quota. So there you have it.
Anyways.
Summer is half over!
Things I've done:
Camped. Up at Big Springs, up South Fork Canyon. ^
I was in a bike race in good ole Parowan, Utah!
30 miles of this...
I got just a little bored.
Just a little....
Done! Made it under 2 hours!
Did the Dirty Dash with Taneya
Went to a family reunion in Midway.
We went inside a crater filled
with warm warm geothermally heated
water. For those of you who are Bachelor fans,
this is the crater that Ben and (I want to say a
girl named Jennifer) repelled into for a date.
Nieces and nephews. They're my favorite part of family reunions!
We played a game similar to "Would You Rather" where
we'd poll the group and ask questions like
"Peanut M&M's or plain.."
"Heat or Spurs"
"Cats or Dogs"
"Milk or Water"
and so on.
That was sporadic but so much fun!
Hiked Ensign Peak in Salt Lake City
This is one of my favorite pictures from the
whole trip. All us Burtons and Johnsons

Ate one full Kong cone at Macey's!

Hiked Upper Falls, the one past Bridal Veil Falls
Hosted Thirsty Thursday and watched Game 7 of
the NBA finals. So sad when the Spurs lost. Despair
leaked out of our apartment that night.
Backpacked into the hot pots in Spanish Fork canyon
Cut my hair!
Not.
Went to my first rodeo at Strawberry Days in
Pleasant Grove, fireworks afterwards.
Went to that MTC mission presidents meeting,
saw ALLLLLLL THESE missionaries in the choir!
Watched 4 chick flicks last Sunday.
Now THAT was
a good day.

for the rest of the summer?
Hike Mt Nebo and Timp
More mountain biking
7 Peaks
More road biking
Put a kayak in Alta's pool
Frisbee
Hiking in Colorado
And then maybe I'll do my homework... MAYBE...
